91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµAthletes to participate in City Clean-Up efforts

This Saturday, March 9, The University of Louisiana at Monroe athletes will participate in Monroe Mayor, Jamie Mayo's, "Operation Clean Sweep" Neighborhood Blitz. The student-athletes, who will include team members from a variety of 91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµsports, will meet in front of Malone Stadium at 7:15 a.m. 91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµcoaches will also be on hand. They will be working at the Powell Community Center, and in the Booker T. area.

91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµSenior Woman Administrator, Traci Murphy, is coordinating this event for the 91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµvolunteers. She says, "The athletes feel like they want to give back to the community. Since Mayor Mayo is a former 91³ÉÈ˶¶Òô¶ÌÊÓÆµathlete and has helped with the athletic program, the students felt the event would be a wonderful opportunity for community involvement."
